A Festival of Fun

Attending the show offered by the MotoGP™ World Championship is a special event in itself

5 June, 2018 | MotoGP

Attending the show offered by the MotoGP™ World Championship is a special event in itself, but doing it surrounded by fun and a large variety of offers turns the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP™ into a date that no fan should miss. A date on the calendar that can only be enjoyed once a year, which is why the activity agenda has been designed to make  fans stay at the Circuit having a great time. The Monster Party, in the area of the old heliport, will offer party and good atmosphere; on Saturday even until 2 o'clock in the morning. There will be a photocall, simulators, a surf machine and a real-size podium; and some Monster riders are expected to be there as well to sign autographs. There will also be electronic music DJs such as Mambo Brothers and DJ Oliver. On the same afternoon, up to 500 motorcycles will be able to make a lap around the track and enjoy this unique feeling one day before the races.

To remember and as a recognition to the career of stars like Ángel Nieto and Luis Salom, the Circuit will be holding a special homage for both, by means of urban art and graffitis. Salom will have his homage at Turn 13 (former Turn 12) on Thursday, while Nieto's work will be developed during the Grand Prix weekend behind the Main Grandstand.

The spectator areas will become a focus of rhythm and joy with the batucadas of the most powerful groups of the regions around the Circuit. In addition to rhythm there will be strength, passion and feeling with the human towers made by ‘castellers’. Behind the Main Grandstand, there will be a space for families to enjoy: the Family Village, a place aimed both at young and old. Chill out area, live music, food trucks and simulators for the old and clowns, workshops and animation activities by the Minions, the Pink Panther and the Paw Patrol for the young.

And to round-off the weekend, there will be the Open Track, which means that the gates to the track will be opened after the three races of the MotoGP™ Championship, to enjoy the celebration first hand in the middle of the action.
