Carlos Sainz, Jack Doohan, Pepe Martí and Mari Boya to wow fans in historic F1 Road Show

Hometown hero Carlos Sainz and drivers from Formula 2 and 3 will take to Passeig de Gracia in their cars tomorrow for a historic Road Show, as excitement for this weekend’s FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2024 ramps up.After the show, the drivers and other special guests will appear on stage in the Fan Village where they will answer questions ahead of the race.

Get ready for the main event of the Formula 1 Barcelona Fan Festival. On Wednesday 19 June from 6:00pm, Formula 1 fans will witness history as F1 cars speed down Barcelona’s most famous and iconic streets for the first time ever, in a truly spectacular and unforgettable Road Show.

The Road Show is free to fans, who can watch the action from anywhere along Passeig de Gràcia.

The stars of the show

The show will feature hometown hero and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, alongside Alpine reserve driver and F1 prospect Jack Doohan, Barcelona native and Campos Racing F2 driver Pepe Martí and his Campos teammate and Spanish native, F3 hopeful, Mari Boya.

The route

At 6:00pm, the cars will leave from Ronda Universitat, head north and continue down Passeig de Gràcia, speed up to Casa Batlló and Carrer Aragó, before turning south and returning to the start line.

The Fan Forum

The Road Show will be followed by an exciting Fan Forum from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on the main stage of the Fan Village Plaça Catalunya. The Road Show drivers will be joined by special guests including Formula 1 CEO and President Stefano Domenicali, RB Team Principal Laurent Mekies, F1 Academy drivers Nerea Martí, Emely de Heus, Hamda Al Qubaisi and Maya Weug and former F1 drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Marc Gené.

Programme:

7:00 pm: Fan Forum starts

7:15 – 8:20 pm: Q&A interviews with drivers and special guests

8:25–9:00 pm: Mon DJ set

Access to the Road Show and Fan Forum on Wednesday 19

Please note that due to health and safety regulations and capacity restrictions, fans will be unable to attend both the Fan Forum and the Road Show. Fans must choose to visit either the Fan Forum in Plaça Catalunya or the Road Show on Passeig de Gràcia.

Free access by invitation to the Fan Village will be permitted until 5:00pm, where fans can follow the Road Show via big screens installed in the Village.

Fans looking to attend the Road Show can also do so for free anywhere along the Passeig de Grácia route. Following the show fans on Passeig de Grácia will notbe able to access the Fan Forum but can still follow all the action via the screens stationed throughout the route from 7:00 pm.
